How do I keep up with changes to legislation?
Legislation and other Compliance Obligations are updated almost every day in some way, so it is important that you are able to keep up with the changes.
In ISO Compliance Register, you can manage changes quickly and easily.
See the latest changes to legislation
The Amended Requirements dashboard icon will take you to a list of legislation or compliance obligations that has been updated.
These will most likely be secondary legislation (i.e. Regulations or Orders), which have been changed by the executive bodies to update how a piece of legislation will operate.
Amendments are also often made to Compliance Obligations such as Voluntary Standards, Codes of Practice or Guidance that have been previously published but have recently required revision. It is important to manage change.
See changes for the past 12 months
When you open up the table of New or Amended Requirements, you can filter the report to see what has been changed.
As in the example above, you can see changes:
- in the past month,
- in the past 2-3 months,
- in the past 4-7 months,
- up to 12 months ago.
Do I need to update my Compliance Register?
When you open up the table of amended or new Requirements, you can click into each one.
Midway down the article is a full list of the changes. Click into the top one to see the latest change information.
If you have the Requirements in your Register already, then all the changes to the legislation are added to the version of the Regulation that is in your Register.
All you need to do is decide if there is any changes to your processes to meet the amended requirements.
